Ada Lea aka Alexandra Levy has today shared new single “Partner” along with an accompanying music video directed by Erica Orofino. The new single is that latest from her upcoming album one hand on the steering wheel the other sewing a garden, set to be released on September 24th and follows on from previously released singles “damn” and “hurt”.
Levy moves through a memory on the new single as she recalls the events of the previous night. “The cab lets me off at the diner / Just for memory’s sake / And I sit at the same booth / With tears in my eyes / Begging won’t you admit you’re giving up on me too quick” she sings with an unfaltering groove. Her thoughts tumbling over each like the gentle flow of a stream, weaving from the great ocean of her mind.Through the ambient and swaying soundscapes, Levy evokes nostalgia in its purest form. Place any memory above these sounds and you’d be yearning to be back in it.
